‘I was very fortunate to have the most fantastic in-laws. Roy & Ruth had a fascinating background working in the film biz in Hollywood. Roy was a director & Ruth a writer and, on my visits to Laguna Beach near LA where they lived, they entertained me with many stories of Old Hollywood and the stars they had worked with or had known – like Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe, Joan Crawford & Mario Lanza. It was an era that always fascinated me and I would have loved to have been around then and worked with them on their films. Unfortunately both of them have passed away, but they are still very much in my thoughts and I miss them very much’
